In September 1987, a group of talented cloth doll artists, organized by Bonnie Hoover, joined together to form The Flying Phoebes Cloth Doll Makers Club, a non-profit organization founded to promote cloth doll making and its appreciation and collection. Since that time, membership continues with a maximum of 25 active members. In order to accommodate others interested in joining, an associate membership was initiated and has been steadily increasing each year. Activities now scheduled and opened to associate members in the coming year are on the following dates: January 17, 2008, April 17, 2008, July 17, 2008 & October 23, 2008.
